MMORPGs
- MMO / MMORPG - Massively Multi-player Online game / Massively Multi-player Online Role-Playing Game.
- F2P - Free-to-play. It means that creating an account and playing the game (for as long as you wish) are completely free.
- P2P - Pay-to-play. You need to pay a monthly fee (i.e. subscription) to be able to play on a regular basis.
In-game
General
- GM - Game Master. They are staff officials that represent order in game. They may exercise their power whenever they feel it necessary to preserve fair gameplay and balance in the server. They can also use their in-game powers to assist players in dealing with technical issues when needed or to organize events.
- NPC - Non-Player Character. A Character controlled by a computer.

- KS - Kill-Steal. It means a player started attacking a monster that was already being attacked by another player (and without permission by the latter).
- KOS - Kill On Spot (or Sight). This normally occurs when a player A makes another player B mad for any reason. As such, player B "declares war" on player A and will try to kill player A whenever the opportunity arises.
- PK - Player Kill. Occurs when a player attack another player (only possible on PvP maps).
- PvP - Player versus Player. Represents a fight (or the possibility for a fight) involving a player against another player.
- Loot - Represents the act of picking up a drop. The expression "looting someone" is commonly used when a player is trying to pick up drops that belong to someone else.
- Buff - Boosted ability or status received upon skill usage or item consumption.
- Nerf - To reduce the effectiveness of an item or ability.
- Overkill - When a monster receives more damage than its total HP. See Overkill for more details.
- Farmer - A player is said to "farm" or be a "farmer" when he/she spends time hunting specific monsters for the drop(s) they provide (mainly rare and/or valuable ones).
- Camper - A player is said to be "camping" when he/she waits at a rare monster's spawning spot (such as Kings) to farm its drops.
- Afk - Away From Keyboard. Left their avatar online, but not in front of their computer.

- Item X[y] or X(y) - Item X has a refine level of y.

- R1 to R7 - Ruby grade 1 to Ruby grade 7.
- T1 to T7 - Topaz grade 1 to Topaz grade 7.
- G1 to G7 - Garnet grade 1 to Garnet grade 7.
- S1 to S7 - Sapphire grade 1 to Sapphire grade 7.
- D1 to D7 - Diamond grade 1 to Diamond grade 7.
- E1 to E7 - Emerald grade 1 to Emerald grade 7.
- P1 to P7 - Peridot grade 1 to Peridot grade 7.
Market
- S> X - Selling item X.
- B> X - Buying item X.
- T> X for Y - Trading item X for item Y.
- P/C> X - Player is asking a price check on item X.
- 100k - # with 3 added zeros. 100,(000)
