General slang section

While some of the terms on this page appear to be ROSE specific, the vast majority are either general "internet" slang or abbreviations for things not very ROSE specific. Perhaps it should be narrowed down to only include ROSE specific terms. --Resplendent 23:51, 7 May 2008 (MDT)

ROSE being a MMORPG itself, I thought including more general terms (that are used in both Internet and MMORPGs) could really help the total newbies. Sure, the general slang isn't very ROSE specific but they are terms that can be found everywhere on the internet: in games or outside of games. As seen there: FAQ: Community, the terms listed here are to help every ROSE players who encounter words they don't understand in game. And due to the nature of "internet chats", it might be hard not to include those slangs which tend to appear frequently in game (and any other games for that matter). The general slang section could eventually be renamed to General internet and MMORPG slang. What we could also do is only mention the most used ones and then provide a link to a (reliable and stable) site that give a list of all those terms? I definitely welcome further discussion on this though since I do agree that it's not that easy to locate exactly where to draw the line. So far, I've tried to always consider every possible kind of audience for this wiki hence why some obvious things are sometimes mentioned so that even pure newbies can still manage to follow what's going on..
