Parser Functions

Hey! I was wondering if the "Parser Functions" extension from MediaWiki was installed (or if we're using a default version or something). I made the Template "Template:SkillInfo" (borrowed from irowiki.org as mentioned on the page) and you will see that for each variable that are optional or that just uses a "#if" in the source code, they span on 2-3 lines. What happens then is that when making some skill page using this template, the corresponding values for those variables will actually be printed with the full html/css formatting as if it was some "code". Simply try to edit Sit and add "None" to prerequisites (which uses #if) and preview. You'll understand what I mean. So, I'm thinking it's not properly parsing the "if" functions (or maybe the syntax for them changed recently).

Ah ok. It's pretty weird how the same (kind of) template works on irowiki but not here... :/ I guess I'll do some more debugging later then. ^^;

Messenger

Ok, added. :)

Skill Pictures

Hello Respledent, Since your one of the admins around here, i ask you this question. What should the size be of an skillpicture? I have an example here => Example of skill.

--Warren99 9:00, 1 March 2008 (GMT+1)

I figured, i will try this size. But there is a possibility that the picture will look too small since it's been made out of 2 pictures instead of 1.

Skill Tree Problem

Don't worry, I know about it. :P

All I need to do is give a fixed width to the main table so that resizing the page (or browsing in a small resolution) don't break the layout. I haven't done so yet cause it's a trial and error process and not that rushy for now but I'll get to it when I can. ^^

--Frelo 16:03, 1 March 2008 (MST)

I just added the width to the tables. I checked and didn't have any broken layout. Could you please check on your side too? Thanks! --Frelo 20:51, 1 March 2008 (MST)

Server Move

Hello,

As you mentioned in my profile, the server moved today/last night and that would explain why some kind of rollback occurred right?

However, some icons and images that were uploaded a long time ago (like 1 to 2 weeks ago and maybe more) are also missing. Example: Soldier, Soldier Skill Tree, Muse and more. I can see that there was a small rollback on the SQL database by looking at the "recent changes", but when it comes to uploaded files, it's just weird that old files aren't there anymore. If you still have access to the old host/machine, would you mind checking whether both upload folders in the wiki structure are fully synchronized? :o
It's just that it might be quite time-consuming to go through all the images and see which one work and which don't (and then re-upload missing ones). :/

Thanks!

After checking out the file list, it looks like the only affected files (at least those that I checked) are PNG files. Even the Axes page which was made more than 1 month ago is missing its PNG icons. Although I thought it could have been related to the size of the images at first, many other icons in jpg or gif are still there and working. So, it really looks like it's a PNG issue to me. Maybe that can help somehow. Cheers! --Frelo 10:53, 11 April 2008 (MDT)
Oh wait. The icons are actually there, but the wiki doesn't want to display them because:
 Options.png‎ (0 × 0 pixel, file size: 91 KB, MIME type: text/plain)
Warning: This file may contain malicious code, by executing it your system may be compromised.
But if you click on "Options.png" it will link you to the image which does exist. So, I'm guessing it's basically only a permission issue related to PNGs. Maybe a chmod issue? --Frelo 11:05, 11 April 2008 (MDT)

Crafting Info

Sure! Sounds great! Thanks. :) --Frelo 11:14, 2 June 2008 (MDT)

License

Hello Resplendent,

I'm not sure that you should applied the GNU FDL on the wiki. Works are based on Gravity's work (images, texts, etc...). I know that user contributions may be free of use, but I'm not sure that gravity has the same opinion on their contents. Have you taken this in account??? M'vy 13:39, 26 July 2009 (UTC)

Wikipage Nerfed

Many of the pages of the ROSEna Wiki has been nerfed, and needs to be restored to its original state since December 10th before 10:00 PM GMT+1. The user Retzerz should be banned as well for causing the damage.

Vanalism

I saw you made the rest ok :) I have tried to restore everything yesterday, but i coudnt get all of it. Thank god you made up for the rest. :) It was not so much fun though. There was a lot of stuff to fix. I wish there was a better way of controling these kind of things. Anyways, thank you for the quick respons.

Questions

Can we please open the Wiki again. A lot of people are willing to work on the wiki, but in this way it is almost impossible. If you dont want to have the administrator worry´s, then maybe there are other things we can work out. But in this way im afraid the wiki will not get the attention it deserve´s. --KingArthur 16:52, 22 April 2010 (UTC)

Thank you

Thank you for taking the restrictions away. One other thing. I think you should consider to make sparx a mod as well. It would be great if things go wrong and he does a lot for the wiki. --KingArthur 19:22, 22 April 2010 (UTC)

Question.

Hi Resplendent!

If you need more moderators for the Wiki, I'd be very happy to contribute making the ROSE Wiki a better place!

--Sparx 19:50, 22 April 2010 (UTC)

A new official logo for ROSE Online means a new logo for the ROSE Wiki must be applied as well, don't you agree?

External Links page

If you see this before I throw darts at you over the forums, the External Links page links to the now broken old ROSE forums.

Recent Spam'd Pages

Not sure if there is a way for you to hard delete those pages.

I removed the contents, but the pages still linger for search engines I assume.
